INTRODUCTION

Communicate and Relate Effectively at the Workplace is a generic work skills programme that is meant to help operational and all front line staff to know the importance of communicating effectively in the workplace.

In today's increasingly interconnected business environment, it is very important that employees are able to communicate and relate effectively with one another. This course is also a necessity and a fundamental skill in dealing with customers and clients.


PROGAMME DURATION

16 hours - Assessment hours: 1.5, Training hours: 14.5


MODE OF DELIVERY

Face-to-Face: 14.5 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) consist of lectures, interactive activities, role plays, group discussions, and self assessments/tests, either conducted in-house or on-site (corporate trainings)

INTRODUCTION

Develop Personal Effectiveness is a generic work skills programme designed to developcertain employability and life skills such as effective time management, goal-setting, stress and personal finance management, etc. This course facilitates the development of an individual so they are able to better manage their personal lives and careers efficiently.

This course also inculcates a positive self-image and enables learners to discover personal attributes and interestsso thatthey are able to adapt well to changes in the workplace, meet work demands and conquer life/work challenges.

INTRODUCTION

Solve Problems and Make Decisions at Operations Level is a generic work skills programme designed to providelearners with the techniques in effective problem-solving and decision-making. This course inspires learners to solve problems using creative and logical thinking to be able to understand the underlying issues and identify theroot causes of problems. This course also provides the learners with a variety of tools in generating and evaluating proposed solutions and provides ways on how to address recurring problems.

INTRODUCTION

Work in a Team is a generic work skills program designed to help learners apply effective communication techniques to maintain open communication, resolve issues and concerns, and provide support to team members to achieve individual and team goals. This course also enables the learners to have a sense of belonging and to develop a deeper understanding of team synergy to overcome diversity.

Apply Emotional Competence to Manage Self at the Workplace is a basic course on Emotional Intelligence (EQ). It is a generic work skills program designed to help learners apply self-awareness techniques to better manage self in a professional setting. This course aims to develop conscientiousness and a better understanding of emotional and social cues to promote a climate conducive for collaboration and growth in the workplace. These techniques also enable individuals to adapt to different situations and to bring personal and professional relationships to greater heights.

Society also looks up to a person whose appearance is presentable.This course is suitable for employees engaging in customer service, particularly in the retail industry.

In today’s fast-paced and highly competitive marketplace, it is crucial for organizations to be flexible enough to change, in order to remain profitable and up-to-speed, likewise for individuals.  As advancements in technology, processes and systems come into play, it is important that we have the right mindset and attitude in dealing with all these changes. WSQ Adapt to Change enables individuals, especially in the operations sector, to cope with different workplace changes and undertake lifelong learning for sustained employability. The whole process of change can be very distressing to employees and negative emotions could stem out of it, this is why it is always advisable to recognize the different stages of change and anticipate its impact in order to take preventive measures. This course aims to equip retail front line staff with the skills and knowledge required to determine customers' requirements. Aside from this, WSQ Sell Products and Services is a workshop that provides the learners with the industry's best practices in handling customers’ complaints, closing a sale and maximising sales opportunities.
