Students undergo a variety of units covering a wide spectrum of Business Administration and Management that will equip them with education and training for a range of careers in business such as management, administration, personnel and marketing.

MODE OF DELIVERY 

Face-to-Face: 720 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) consisting of lectures, tutorials, group discussions, project meetings,assignments
Online Learning: Distance learning and assessment though the use of the Learning Management System (LMS)


ASSESSMENT MODES AND SCHEDULE 

No written examinations. Assessments are assignment and project-based, with a formative and summative assignment given for every unit.

  • Formative Assignments are given during the midpoint of every unit.
  • Summative Assignments are given at the end of every unit.
     
    ENTRY/AGE REQUIREMENTS 
    • Applicant must be 17 years and above.
    • Academic Level: GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.
    • Language Proficiency: English at GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.
    • Recognition of prior learning (30 years old and above, with at least 8 years of working experience)

      
    AWARD CRITERIA 

    Students must successfully pass all 12 course units which makes up 120 credits

INTRODUCTION

The Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND (Higher National Diploma) in Business is accredited onto the UK Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 5, in other words students may progress to study at university level with advanced standing after obtaining the Higher National Diploma. A Pearson BTEC HND can be accepted as credit for third year of an undergraduate degree. Nevertheless, the university may accept the candidate at its sole discretion on a case by case basis. 

Students who are in pursuit of the Pearson BTEC Level 5 Programme in Business which covers Marketing, Business Administration and Management that will equip them with education and training for a range of careers in business.

ASSESSMENT MODES AND SCHEDULE 

No written examinations, 100% pure assignments.

Assessments are assignment and project-based, with a formative and summative given assignment for every unit.

  • Formative Assignments are given during the midpoint of every unit.
  • Summative Assignments are given at the end of every unit.
       

    ENTRY/AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS

    • Applicant must be 18 years or above;
    • Academic Level: Diploma / ‘A’ Level or equivalent
    • Language Proficiency: English Proficiency at 'O' Level
    • Any other qualifications maybe accepted on a case by case basis
     

    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR MATURE CANDIDATES

    • Recognition of prior learning (30 years old and above, with at least 8 years of working experience)
    • Any other qualifications may be accepted on a case by case basis
     

    AWARD CRITERIA

    Students must successfully pass all 16 course units which makes up 240 credits
